Seven Mile Beach is where most visitors to Grand Cayman stay. The beach runs north from George Town along West Bay Road, with resorts, condo complexes, restaurants and dive shops on the landward side. From Owen Roberts International Airport you drive through George Town, then up the coast.
The trip is short, but it is rarely a straight shot. West Bay Road traffic builds around school and office hours, and cruise days put extra taxis on the road. Pre-booking means the driver is waiting, the price is fixed and you are checked in soon after you land.
Hotels and areas we serve
Resorts such as the Ritz-Carlton, the Westin, Kimpton Seafire, Margaritaville Beach Resort, the Marriott Beach Resort, the Caribbean Club and Comfort Suites, plus private condos and villas along the beach road. See all hotel transfers.
Tips for your first day
- Stock up on groceries before the villa. We can stop at a supermarket on request.
- If you arrive late, tell us. Check-in desks stay open, but restaurants close earlier than most people expect.
- If you want to see the beach before your room is ready, ask your hotel about luggage storage. We can drop you at the beach access first.

Questions we get asked
How long is the drive from the airport to Seven Mile Beach?
Typically 10 to 25 minutes, depending on which resort and the traffic on West Bay Road.
Is a taxi or private transfer better for Seven Mile Beach?
A taxi is fine if you are happy to queue and the fare is agreed up front. A private transfer gives you a fixed price and no wait. See the airport to Seven Mile Beach guide.
Can you stop for groceries on the way?
Yes. Tell us when you book and we plan the stop.
